Now this is pure spectulation but would anybody really be surprised if Zhang Yimou owns a large amount of stock in a company that produces very thin and extremely strong cabling?
Seperately, the first thing that went through my mind when the group of kids were singing the Olympic theme (as they brought down the Olympic flag):
“Here we have the hymn of the Olympics, sung by 200 kids who just weren’t quite cute enough.”
